Since my job involves extensive traveling, I must say that I am familiar with most food offered by different fastfood chains. It is the most convenient and cheapest way to pacify my rumbling stomach at any time of the day. It's either the Bee or the King or the Clown or the Colonel that usually feeds me on weekdays.
Fastfood Discovery: Slammer Burgers
In one of our purposeless trips to the mall, JF and I discovered Slammer Burgers at Trinoma's food court. I must say that we tried it out because as far as I'm concerned it somehow mimics Wham! Burgers. I really can't say which aspect is similar but I've come to realize that Slammer is comparable to the tasty offerings of Wham!
Being operated by the same company as Belgian Fries, Slammer is a very promising fastfood chain. The burgers with 100% pure beef patties have pandesal-like buns. You can order either in 2s, 4s or 6s. Coming from a non-burger aficionado, I can say that it is one of the most flavorful burgers I've ever tasted.
Raving about Slammer's spaghetti and chicken nuggets
I also keep on coming back for their spaghetti and chicken nuggets. The spaghetti has a delicious distinct taste as compared to those sold by the Bee, Clown and Colonel. The sauce has the perfect Pinoy sweetness with a sour tomato after-taste. The nuggets, on the other hand, is at par with those sold at Wham! Unlike the Clown's nuggets which has no appeal without the barbecue sauce, the Slammer version is good enough to be eaten on its own. However, if you'd still prefer to pair it with a dip, it is such a delight to know that you can choose from 10 variants.
Despite the fact that Slammer is slightly expensive than other brands, I could say it is worth the money. The servings are more than enough for one person. The food is freshly prepared. The taste of the burgers and spaghetti is certainly delicious. Everything sums up to a truly great dining experience.
Slammer Burgers now have 13 branches around the metro, though I wish they would put-up outlets along NLEX or SLEX. For the complete stores list, you may visit their Facebook page here.
Let's get slammin' and expect to crave for more!
