The Birth of Mudraesque

I remember a few weeks back, this was what my tweet said:

I've been thinking of putting up my blog for sometime but I keep on procrastinating. Not because I am not serious with the new "project" but it is because I have a lot of things to do. I'm not complaining; I'm just saying :) After 35 days, now here I am ready to share what it's like to be a mama-of-all-trades.

You might wonder why coin the name "mudraesque" for my blog.

mudra + esque = mudraesque

Mudra, according to its wikipedia definition, is a symbolic or ritual gesture which can be incorporated in pranayama (yogic breathing exercises). This spells out my fondness for yoga. The word also corresponds to mama/ mother/ mommy/ nanay/ inay in Philippine gay lingo. I never knew there is another meaning to the word. Thanks to Remington!

Putting it together, it would be:

mudra + esque = mudraesque
mama + like = mama-like
mudraesque = mama-like

Pardon the geeky format, but that's how I understood life when I was still studying and up to now, after x no. of years, I'm still into it.

Through this blog, I hope to share what seems to be interesting not only to me but to other mamas out there. I also believe this would eventually become my virtual sentiments board for my frequent rants and occasional raves. This is also a good practice for my freelance writing work. As I've said in my tweet, I am awed with the witty use of words of other mommy bloggers. Now the really tough challenge is on. I have to awe myself.
