Hay! Been away for quite long. Not that I'm complaining, just that I have a lot of ideas in mind which I really want to write down and publish here. It is unfortunate I only have 24 hours to fit all my activities in a day. Not to mention, I am such a sleepy head that I can not survive without sleep! Yes, take away food and water, it would be okay. But I can't be away from my slumberland. Truly, December is the busiest month of the year ever!
This afternoon, JF and I managed to do a little bit of Christmas shopping at an SM mall in a nearby province. I actually intended to buy a Kris Kringle gift for the company party and some toiletries. However, we were able to buy gifts for the kiddos instead. After all, Christmas is truly for them! :)
SM Supermalls Christmas 2011 TVC from YouTube
I am delighted how SM and Landmark had considerably improved on the quality of the merchandise they sell. Gone are the days when department store stuff look plain and boring. Not to mention, there were only a few items to choose from. Today, once you step in the SMs and Landmarks, you will be overwhelmed with the fashionable finds with an affordable price tag. Personally, I would never get disappointed whenever I scout for a comfy pair of flat shoes at SM. Aside from living up to its name as a "shoe mart," they offer pairs of different styles and colors possible. Truly a haven for my shoe-loving sisters.
What a great find at the pre-teens and baby section!
I was so excited to spot this matching owl dresses - the black one for SJ and the white one for SI. I can't wait to see the girls wear these at the same time! :)
We were also happy to know that the items we brought can be wrapped for free regardless of the amount. At first I was hesitant since I have a penchant for gift wrapping and I saw that men were doing the job. In addition, the line leading to the gift wrapping section was long! However, since we're not in a hurry, JF agreed to wait and have the kids' stuff wrapped after all. And besides, saving a few pesos won't hurt too.
Free Christmas wrappers - not the cheap kind!
I was surprised to find out that SM's value-added gift wrapping service was great and far from looking cheap! That is probably why a lot of shoppers take advantage of this offer. Each customer can have any item wrapped in an SM custom gift wrap paper of his choice. They have several attractive wrappers from which you can choose from. For items above 500 pesos, not only would you get your item wrapped with a gift card, they will also include a matching ribbon to further accentuate the present.
From shopping to dining to family entertainment, SM claims, "We've got it all for you." Now, who would dare disagree with that?
